Epleyn kaavio:
(Kyykätty paino x toistot x 0,0333) + kyykätty paino = arvio 1RM.
Esimerkiksi:
Raaka-Arska kyykkää 110kg 4 kertaa. Näin ollen Epleyn kaaviosta saadaan arvio ykkösestä näin:
(110kg x 4 x 0,0333) + 110kg = 124,7kg eli arvio Raaka-Arskan kyykkymaksimista on 125kg.
*Huom! Mitä enemmän toistoja maksimisarjassa on, sitä epätarkempi Epleyn kaavio on. Siksi on tärkeää pitää toistomäärä pienenä.
Avoimien sarjojen hyöty on kuitenkin se, että sen avulla saadaan riittävän tarkka arvio maksimista ilman suurta loukkaantumisriskiä ja siten, että kyykyt ovat laadukkaita.1RM painoa tullaan käyttämään jatkossa sarjapainojen laskemiseen, joten kirjaa tulos itsellesi ylös!
