  • WOD on the Boston Common Workout

Today Reebok and City Sports hosted a WOD on the Boston Common. Since my family was one of the 150 people first there, so we got free Reebok Crossfit shirts! How sick! Although, the people in front of me were wearing Reebok Crossfit Shoes (which haven't come out yet), so they must have been competing in this year's games. Anyway, they had the ninth fittest man IN THE WORLD there. He was doing demos about all the different types of movements and stuff like that. It was so cold, I was FREEZING TO DEATH, but luckily there was a coffee shop across the street where I got a nice warm mocha coffee with a chocolate heart on top. Yumm. Here was the WOD:
    7 min AMRAP
    7 Squats
    7 Push ups
    7 Tuck Jumps
At first, I powered through it thinking since it was a beginner WOD that I could do it no prob. After the 2 minute mark passed, though, my father and I looked at each other in pain (we weren't cold anymore if you haven't guessed). I killed it! After the WOD, they had all the volunteers and judges do a WOD, and we roamed a little. We tried the Mix 1 Protein Shake. We also all spun the "Magical Wheel of City Sports" and won a free waterbottle, a free tote, and magnets (ooh! How exotic!) All in all, it was fun! I'm still in total excruciating pain, though.
