A good website should be clear and have a professional look. You should also make sure that the content on your site is up to date. A sloppy website design or old phone number will, for sure, be a turn-off for your potential customers, who are in search for a new box to exercise. The contact information should be easily available. Consider placing social media buttons on your site to increase reach.
As a gym admin, you have the possibility to let WODconnect post your gym’s workouts, class schedule, seminars and other relevant information automatically to your gym’s website. This helps your customers to reach all the information quickly and reduces the time you need to spend posting it.
Widgets
One way is to set widgets, which are found in the ‘widgets’ section in your gym admin settings. Try them out, it’s very easy! Also, in case you have a blog, you should take advantage of scheduled Wordpress posts – more about those here
RSS-feeds
For those who want to take it even further, there’s the possibility to use RSS-feeds. That way you can customize the design however you like. This method needs more work and skills but allows you to do anything with the data. Once you have implemented the feeds, there's no need to update your site for that data anymore as it will be done automatically.
A pretty rad example of using WODconnect’s RSS-feeds is one of our Finnish gym client's, CrossFit Pieksämäki’s, website. It's in Finnish, but you will get the idea even if it's not your language.
They have done a great job and use the feeds and widgets widely on their page, for all the following:
Publishing scheduled WODs
Publishing classes
Promoting courses and inviting people to join the community on WODconnect
Lookin' good, isn't it? Imagine how awesome your site could be! ;)
