Feature news - Workout builder goes machine learning

Introducing a new smarter workout creation:

When creating a workout, we need certain parameters to be able to track the results properly (workout type, result type if metcon, movement and reps if strength workout).
This can take some time when creating new workouts, especially for strength movements.

Enter Machine Learning

Machine Learning gives the computers ability to learn new stuff (term not used in science). The more data we have, the better machine learning works. Luckily for us, we have plenty of data.

We combine machine learning with some sophisticated algorithms to speed up the entering of workout parameters. When it works, it works like magic. When it doesn't, the good news is that it gets better during time :)

Here's how it looks:

Currently you need to click the icon to start the detection. Later on this will be automatic. We'll be monitoring the searches that do not work.

One nice thing is about having a lot of data is that in some cases the machine learning even detects movements written in different language (for example "penkkipunnerrus" will be detected as "bench press"). Cool, huh?
